ABOUT PONCE STUDIO

Ponce Studio was founded by Pelin Once, an architect and fashion designer passionate about blending form, function, and artistry. After graduating from Politecnico di Milano in 2015, she gained diverse experience working in architectural studios across Paris until 2019. Over time, her interest shifted toward smaller-scale, hands-on design, allowing for greater creative expression and experimentation. In April 2023, she returned to her hometown of Izmir to establish Ponce Studio, launching with her first product, Wada Lamps—a testament to her love for craftsmanship, color, and innovation. She now continues her experimental journey with the Flow Series.

CRAFTSMANSHIP

Craftsmanship at Ponce Studio is a celebration of artistry, tradition, and innovation. Each piece is meticulously handmade by skilled local artisans to create unique and expressive designs.

The Wada Collection is inspired by both Wada Sanzo, a Japanese artist and color theorist known for his 1937 book on color combinations, and the timeless elegance of Asian paper lamps. These influences shape the bold color palettes and delicate paper shades, designed to radiate positive energy.

The Flow Series explores movement, texture, and balance. Each lamp features vibrant hand-dyed strands that cascade independently with polyester macramé cord. The cord’s soft yet durable texture adds depth and flexibility, giving each piece a unique balance of structure and movement.

Every detail, from the selection of materials to the finishing touches, reflects a deep respect for handmade artistry, transforming raw elements into inspiring objects that blend function with artistic vision.
